A “retired” journalist, Nick has a nose for trouble that he can’t ever seem to fully stay out of. He’s a lot smarter than most might give him credit for; what he lacks in book smarts he makes up for with sheer worldly wisdom. The burden of responsibility gives him quite the cynic’s tarnish, but beneath that is a strong, if not slightly egocentric, zest for life.
James Broughe (Jim) | age 47 | Virgo
Jim is single-handedly responsible for the creation of the “Transfer System,” which he feels no need to give any more elaborate a name. Originally from Cambridge, he moved to the US to escape the mounting pressures of animal rights activists in the UK. He presently works for snnTEC, developing and refining their technology. He’s an intellectual creature who’s also something of a misanthrope; he simply considers himself “focused” and just doesn’t want to be bothered with the unimportant things in life. Most view him as an eccentric and consider him best left alone.

Known for her intuition, Valerie is an FBI Special Agent from the Los Angeles field office. She’s got a good grasp of the human mind, both from personal experience and her education. Flexible, forceful, and used to dealing with the bad guys, she’s often assigned to undercover cases — like the one she’s on now.
Wesley Howard | age 31 | Capricorn
Like Valerie, Wes is also an FBI Special Agent from the LA field office. He’s an experienced law enforcement officer, who after signing on with the FBI quickly became notorious for his ability to crack complex cases. Skilled with computers, as an Agent his specialty is cybercrimes and fraud. He acts as Valerie’s handler for their current case.
